(2019)

Doing things started as a practice of “inhabiting” the stage perceived as a space that shapes particular display and relationality. Later on, it moved beyond the performance setup.

Following different coincidences and encounters during the residency in Tio’tia:ke/Montreal, the work became a collective action stretching towards the field of self-organization, the practice of building collaboration and hospitability. Together with Jonah Leslie, a founder of White Wall Studio, as well as the assembled group of local and visiting artists: Miri Chekhanovich, Burdock Jenkins-Crumb, Karen Fennell, Lune très belle, Renae Shadler, Nicholas Bellefleur, we self-organized an event and co-created a hospitable space where we could exchange our experiences and interests and share our works with a broader audience.
